The City of Anna Maria is located at the most Northern end of the island and remains a beloved haven to approximately 1,500 full-time residents. A popular section of the island and most desired – simply due to a residential community focus and Anna Maria’s “Bean Point” one of the most magical beaches found with crystal clear waters and sugar-like sand! Currently, there are 1,587 single-family homes, and only one (1) small condominium complex called the Bayou.
The Hub of the community is the “Center of Anna Maria Island” located at 407 Magnolia Avenue and offers numerous cultural, recreational, and educational programs for all ages, including socials, lectures, and workshops. The Center has an indoor fitness center, tennis courts, pickleball courts, and sports fields. There is Historic Pine Avenue located in the City of Anna Maria which is also known as “America’s Greenest Little Main Street”. Pine Avenue has earned the prestigious platinum LED certification and is a certified “net zero energy compliant project” from the State of Florida.
AMI residents own and operate a series of small businesses along Pine Avenue. These wonderful businesses include waterfront restaurants, a deli, a bakery, eclectic furniture shops, a hair salon, a podiatrist, Olive oil and gourmet food items, a Lilly Pulitzer signature boutique, children’s crafts and gifts, an art gallery, and even a designer donut shop.
